If I had the possibility to get any job I wanted, I´d chose to be a concept artist.
What does it mean? Concept Art is one of Art´s many branches. It focuses on guiding the visual aspect of audiovisual projects, such as series, movies, videogames, etc. Through solving narrative and esthetic problems the product must show the spectator visual information about the subcontext of the story. Its quite the spectacle when, years later, the concept art of a certain project is published. From the initial sketches to the final designs, Its all a delight for the eyes.
The creative environment one must exercise requires adaptation, a lot of try and error, for this reason It´s recommended changing between working outdoors and indoor. Personally I´d do the same, many times one must search for inspiration beyond of what the screen gives. That can be found outside, in a park, in a subwey station, who knows? That being said, if given the chance, I´d like to travel to other countrys only under studies circumstances, to be able to learn different styles of expresion, communication, to sharpen my work. Regarding the salary, I really dont know, I´ll be happy if I can get enough money to buy a flat, to setup my independence. A very naive answer, anyways, this job Its related to what I´m studing, Design. Allthough I´m in my first year, I have a notion of what mention I´ll choose. For now the graphics major is more alligned with my ideas, the use of analog and digital tools to develop certain projects can possibly mean a preview of the dinamic of being a concept artist.
One of my inspirations is Ralph Maquarrie, he was responsible of the Concept art for a movie called Star Wars. His work was essential for the production of the movie, it helped to build the iconic style of the original trilogy movies, a part of my childhood.
Good work, there is a sentence in the second paragraph: it's an art that have many branches; I should have written
